Giles to undergo surgery

Keelan Giles will undergo reconstructive surgery after suffering a “significant knee ligament injury” in last Friday’s win over the Dragons.

The winger was stretchered off after an hour of the Guinness PRO14 derby clash at the Liberty Stadium and Chris Towers, Medical Performance Manager at the Ospreys, provided the following update:

“Keelan has sustained a significant knee ligament injury and will require reconstructive surgery. We are currently in the process of seeking expert opinion to formulate the best course of management going forward and will provide appropriate updates when necessary.”
