OitC welcome the armed forces to the Liberty.

There’ll be a special armed forces Ozone when we take on Clermont, cadets parading at half time and one very familiar serviceman delivering our match ball!

As an organisation we are very proud of our links to ourarmed forces and we’re delighted to have representatives from all services at the Liberty Stadium for Forces Day 2017 on Sunday 15th October.

Before the Ospreys take on Clermont Auvergne, we will have a special Ozone in operation. The Royal Welsh, Royal Engineers and Royal Naval Reserves, as well as cadet organisations from the three forces, will be stationed outside. There will be military vehicles on site and plenty to see and do, so make sure you call down pre match.

At half time members of the Air Training Corps, Sea Cadets, Army Cadets and the Motivational Preparation College of Swansea will be parading around the pitch, give them a cheer as they march past.

There will also be a very familiar face for Ospreys fans on Sunday evening, delivering our match ball on behalf of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards will be Sgt Matthew Dwyer. We’re delighted to have our former hooker back at the Liberty in his official capacity as a serving member of the army and he’ll no doubt be given a very warm welcome as he returns to the field!

Alyn Lake, the Ospreys in the Community Officer who organised the event remarked:

“It’s fantastic we’ll be joined at the Clermont game by members of the armed forces and cadets. Ospreys Rugby and Ospreys in the Community have very strong links to the armed forces for example we recently became the first Welsh region to be awarded a Defence Employers Recognition Bronze Award. We're proud of all the men and women who serve our country so it’s great for us to be able to recognise them at a game, like we are doing on Sunday.”

Don’t forget serving members of the armed forces get free entry to all Ospreys games by showing a valid service I.D. at the ticket office.
