OitC offer help with ‘Later Life Transitions’

Ospreys in the Community has teamed up with Envisage and Neath Port Talbot Council for Voluntary Service to host a special workshop aimed at tackling the challenges of later life.

The thought of getting old can be scary and like many of life’s challenges it can be a difficult time. This is often made worse by issues such as a lack of money, a loss of job, ill health, starting to care for family, moving house or even losing a loved one.

The Later life Transitions Community Workshop, is a friendly, fun packed day that will give you the information and confidence you need to prepare for your future. It is run by Ospreys in the Community and Envisage and will take place on Thursday 1st June 2017, at Neath and Port Talbot CVS, 17 Alfred Street, Neath.

·      managing disappointment and change

·      retirement planning

·      developing better friendships

·      money and managing debt

·      working and later life benefits

·      the value of your state pension

·      understanding wills

·      the value of lifelong learning

·      top 10 things to improve your health

 

Join us if you’re over 50

You will learn about the challenges of later life and explore how you can use your existing skills–or develop new ones–to remain positive, active and connected with friends and communities.

Lunch and drinks are provided. The day starts at 9.30 am and finishes at 4.00 pm. Couples and single people welcome. If you are single please feel free to bring a friend with you.
