Dan Griffiths, Elite Development Manager, said:

“This is very much an initial selection of 26, with other players to potentially come into consideration. The development pathway is a fluid one, with player movement in both directions, so the onus is on those selected to continue working hard as this is just a starting point for them, and for those who just missed out to keep pressing as their opportunity could still come.

“It will be a challenge for these boys moving forward with our U18 squad, this season’s champions, being a young group themselves, predominantly first year. That places a greater weight than usual on the college/schools competitions as a means of talent ID for some of these boys moving forward but it’s important to underline that the door is never closed on anyone, at any time.”
