Ospreys learn Euro schedule

The Ospreys will kick-off the 2016/17 Challenge Cup campaign at home to Newcastle Falcons on Friday 14th October (7.05pm KO).

The schedule revealed today shows that after the Round 1 fixture against the Aviva Premiership side, the team will then make the first of two trips to France a week later, facing Lyon at Matmut Stadium on Saturday 22nd October at 8.45pm (7.45 UK time).

The December double header then sees back-to-back games against Grenoble, the first at Stade des Alpes on Thursday 8th December, another 8.45pm (7.45pm) kick-off, with the French side making the return trip on Saturday 17th December at 3.00pm.

Round 5 will then see the Ospreys welcome Lyon to the Liberty Stadium on the weekend of 12-15 January, with a trip to Newcastle rounding off the pool stages a week later.

As per previous years, days and times of Rounds 5 & 6 will be confirmed upon the conclusion of Round 4.

Neither of the two confirmed home matches are scheduled for live television broadcast, which means the ONLY way you will be able to watch the games is to be at the Liberty Stadium.

All three home pool matches are covered by a 2016/17 Ospreys season membership – available to buy now from just £149 for adults at this link.

Individual match tickets for the confirmed home fixtures versus Newcastle Falcons and Grenoble will be on sale at the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office and online at www.ospreysrugby.com/buytickets from this afternoon.
