Scarlets East 7 - 26 Ospreys East

The Under 16's secure a second win of the season with a comprehensive victory over their regional rivals

The Scarlets East side got off to a good start when withjust three minutes played they managed to dive across the try line. Llew Smith's successful conversion extending their lead.

However despite their early promise once the Ospreys East got into the game, the Scarlets had no answer to their strength in attack. The young Ospreys first try came courtesy of Harry Morgan after 13 minutes. Morgan then converted his own try to even the score.

Just five minutes later Tiann Thomas-Wheeler found a gap in the home side's defence and took the lead for the Eyasses. Morgan's second conversion attempt however just missed it's mark.

There was just time before half time for the team from the East to further extend their lead, this time Will Baraclough crossing the line and Tiann Thomas-Wheeler successfully converting.

It was a quieter half for both sides as they returned to the field. The Scarlets defence improved and the Ospreys found themselves down to 13 men when Tom Davies and Ethan Longly were sent to the sin bin within two minutes of each other.

Despite the home side's two man advantage they couldn't manage to break through the Ospreys solid defence. Instead, when back to a full complement,  the Ospreys managed to get the only try of the second half as Tom Davies slid over the line. With less than a minute on the clock left Thomas-Wheeler brought the scoring to a close with another successful conversion.
