Schools and clubs get behind the cause

The Ospreys go into battle with Glasgow at the Liberty Stadium on Friday night with the backing of over 1,000 local children who are attending the game as part of the successful group ticketing scheme

 

Clubs and schools from the length and breadth of Ospreylia will be in attendance for the biggest game of the season as fourth hosts first in the race for the play-offs, both teams still targeting a home semi-final two weeks later.

There’s a full activity programme ahead of the game, while at half-time there will be an incredible EIGHT tag rugby matches, allowing more youngsters than ever a chance to tread the hallowed turf.

Meanwhile, 10 primary schools will be participating in a half time parade around the pitch, soaking up the big match atmosphere.

Rugby clubs confirmed as attending are:

Aberavon Green Stars, Abercrave, Gorseinon, Gowerton, Loughor, Maesteg Celtic, Maesteg Welsh, Morriston, Pencoed, Pontardawe, South Gower, Tondu, Tonna.

Schools confirmed as attending are:

Brackla Primary, Brynmenyn Primary, Clydach Primary, Coedffranc Primary, Crwys Primary, Gorseinon Primary, Maes Yr Haul Primary, Mynachlog Nedd Junior, Morriston Comprehensive, Pen Y Fro Primary, St David’s Catholic Primary, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary, Oystermouth Primary, Tremains Primary, Ynystawe Primary, Ysgol Y Wern.

A big crowd is anticipated on Friday night and you can be there for what promises to be an exciting night of rugby. There are a number of ticketing initiatives running for this fixture. Any supporter who went to Judgement Day III at the Millennium Stadium can claim a £10 discount on standard Glasgow match tickets simply by presenting their JDIII ticket at the Ticket Office at the time of purchase.

Alternatively, anyone looking to purchase a new Ospreys season membership for 2015/16 can buy a Glasgow ticket and then claim back the value of the match ticket when they buy a membership.
