Prop Cai Griffiths is to undergo surgery that will rule him out for the remainder of the season.
The prop sustained an arm injury in the early stages of last Saturday’s win over Bath, which forced him off towards the end of the opening quarter, and scans have revealed the extent of the problem.
Medical Performance Manager, Chris Towers, said:
“Cai has suffered a ruptured bicep, with the area affected on the inside of his elbow. He is having an operation, with the best case scenario being a four month rehabilitation period.”
