Important ticketing information for Friday night

Supporters attending the Liberty Stadium for tomorrow’s first Guinness PRO12 fixture are advised of the following ticketing information.

Ospreys Rugby and the Stadium Management Company are aware that there have been a small number of issues relating to the late or non-arrival of season tickets, and would wish jointly to apologise for any inconvenience this has caused our supporters.

Supporters who have already advised the ticket office of the non-delivery of their season ticket are in the process of being contacted by ticket office staff who are seeking to establish whether the ticket(s) have now arrived.

Supporters who, on the day of the game, have still not received their season ticket are asked to attend the ticket office as early as is possible where a dedicated season ticket query window will be staffed.

Wherever possible supporters are asked to bring their receipt, or other identification. At that point supporters will be reissued a season ticket and the original season ticket will be made invalid.  Should circumstances dictate, then supporters may be issued with an individual match ticket for tomorrow’s game and a replacement season card will then be forwarded.

Whilst the fact that the late or non-arrival of season tickets is not acceptable this is in part due to a new ticketing system which in due course will assist greatly with supporters ticketing requirements.

This Ticketmaster system is the result of a significant investment and is linked to access control software which validates season and match day tickets at the turnstiles. As with any new systems there will be a need to trial and refine them in an event situation.

This has already been the case with Swansea City fixtures played at the Stadium to date, and tomorrow’s fixture will be the first time that the new ticketing and access control systems will be used for an Ospreys Rugby fixture. With that in mind supporters are asked to arrive at the Stadium early to enable a speedy and efficient access to the Stadium. Public turnstiles are open from 6:35pm and hospitality doors open from 5:35pm for tomorrow’s evening fixture.

Supporters patience is requested at the point of entry where their barcoded ticket will be scanned by the turnstile operator. In the event that a ticket is not accepted at the turnstile stewards will be available to assist in order to rectify any problems.

To assist with the entry process supporters are advised to only use the turnstile numbers which are identified clearly on their season ticket card or match day ticket. Turnstile access is strictly through the turnstiles identified and the system will reject supporters cards/tickets if they attempt to enter through alternative turnstiles. This is to ensure that there is an efficient flow of supporters through turnstiles.

Worthington’s 2003 Club members should also note that their drinks cards, which is used to redeem their complimentary matchday drink, will be available to collect from the Morfa Lounge on the evening. All members are required to bring their Worthington’s 2003 Club cards with lanyards, and the four digit number on the card will be matched up to the drinks card.

Please note that for the new season that the O-Zone will now be located in the South Stand, the end of the stadium where the Ticket Office and Club Shop is located. It will be open for business from 6.00pm, providing family friendly fun for all ages, with food and drink available. To gain access to the O-Zone, you will need to show a match ticket or season ticket.

We would like to thank you in advance for your co-operation on Friday evening in helping to ensure smooth access into the stadium.
