2014/14 season memberships are on sale now offering fantastic value to supporter so why not sign up for next season this weekend?
The Ticket Office is open from 10am on Saturday morning allowing ample time for you to purchase your season membership ahead of kick-off at 6.30pm.
So, how much is a season membership and what do you get for your money?
With adult renewals frozen at last year’s unbeatable prices, season memberships start at just £99* (standard seating), which means that the cost of supporting the cause remains lower than at any time since the Ospreys moved to the Liberty Stadium in 2005.
Renewals in premium seating areas are also frozen at just £160* for the season, meaning you can enjoy the very best in professional rugby, supporting your region from the best seats at the Liberty Stadium, for less than price of a standard membership just two years ago.
To benefit from these fantastic prices all you need to do is renew by the Earlybird Deadline of Saturday 31st May.
New members can sign up to the cause for the Earlybird price of just £165 (standard) or £335 (premium), again offering unrivalled value for money.
With the best value season membership packages in Wales on offer, Chief Executive Andrew Hore is encouraging supporters to invest in their region ahead of what promises to be an exciting few years for the Ospreys.
“Being an Ospreys season member isn’t just about coming to games at the Liberty Stadium” said Hore.
“Season members are the lifeblood of the organisation, which is why we can once again offer membership packages at such great prices. Our aim, as always, when setting membership prices, was to reward those who support the cause through thick and thin, with a particular emphasis on ensuring existing members get the best deal possible, as a thank-you for your ongoing support. Without you, this region wouldn’t be what it is.
“2014/15 promises to be a fantastic season. We have the new European Rugby Champions Cup to look forward to, a competition which will see us going toe-to-toe with the very best teams in Europe. The PRO12 will be more competitive than ever with the new qualification rules for Europe, on top of the play-off structure, meaning that every single game will have a real edge to it. We remain Wales’ leading region on and off the field, and that is a position we have no intention of surrendering.
“We’ve got a new look, dynamic squad and I have no doubt that any of you who have watched us in action during 2013/14 will share the excitement we have about what this team can achieve over the years ahead. The Ospreys have led the way in Wales for 10 years, and this new generation can safeguard the legacy they have been left by those who have worn the jersey before them, with the support of our loyal season members.
“It’s no coincidence that the great teams, the big teams who win big matches, enjoy the benefit of big crowds. It’s true that teams win matches, but supporters win championships. Make no bones about it, we need to grow our support base, to get more people into the Liberty week in, week out to help drive us forward. These season membership packages will, we believe, enable us to do that.
“By investing in a season membership, you are a part of the team going on this fantastic journey, helping to keep this group of exciting young players together as they grow and mature on and off the field. For this team, it really is a case of ‘cometh the hour, cometh the man’, as this really is their time.”
Changes this year see the number of standard seating areas increased in both the East and West Stands, offering a wider selection of seats at the best value prices, while a new ‘Kids Plus’ package has been introduced, which includes a child season membership and brand new BLK Ospreys jersey - which will be personally handed over by an Ospreys player at an exclusive pre-season event - costing just £40. Full details of the Kids Plus package is below.
Other benefits for season members include
“Our business has gone through immense change over the last two years” added Hore.
“Ospreys Rugby is now in a position where we have a solid base to work from and can look forward to a prosperous, sustainable future, with both a young and exciting squad and coaching team. We are ambitious about what we want to achieve over the next few seasons, but I can’t stress enough how crucial to these ambitions our supporters are.
“This group of players is poised to take a big step forward, so this isn’t just about the future, it’s about the here and now. If we want to keep this exciting group at the Liberty to ensure it achieves its full potential we need that financial investment to make sure we can keep them in an Ospreys shirt.
“We look forward to seeing you at the Liberty Stadium throughout 2014/15, supporting your region and taking advantage of these fantastic membership packages.”
Supporters can also take advantage of a number of credit options to purchase their full season membership – please speak to the Ticket Office directly, either in person or via the Hotline on 0844 815 6665 to discuss.
Existing members current seats will be held for them until a later date to be confirmed by Ospreys Rugby.
New for 2014/15 - Kids Plus Memberships
Ospreys Rugby are delighted to unveil the new Kids Plus membership package for the 2014/15 season.
Kids Plus members will receive admission to all scheduled home games throughout the season, plus a brand new BLK Ospreys jersey of their choice (home or away) that will be personally presented to them by an Ospreys player at an exclusive pre-season event attended by the entire squad.
Membership is available to all children aged 16 and under, accompanied by a paying adult, with prices starting at just £40 when bought before the Earlybird Deadline of Saturday 31st May.
Alternatively, you can opt for a straightforward Kids membership, which costs just £20 but gives access to every league or group stage fixture throughout the season.
Andrew Hore, explained that it is crucial to the future of the region to encourage the next generation of supporters to come to the Liberty Stadium regularly, stressing the importance of finding the right balance in terms of value.
“Supporters are the lifeblood of the region and, in particular, it is the youngsters who are our future so we need to ensure that we ignite a lifelong passion for rugby, and for the Ospreys” he said.
“We’ve had huge success in growing our membership numbers in recent years, with various initiatives encouraging more people than ever to sign up to the cause. However, it is important that we truly value a membership. If something has no value then it is difficult to treasure it.
“While packages available over the last few years have allowed kids to go free with paying adults, we have found that some of the kids memberships taken up were not utilised regularly. This meant that seats were sitting empty that couldn’t be resold, with an impact on some of our busier match days where supporters were unable to purchase match tickets in certain areas.
“As a a business, we’ve thought long and hard about how can rectify the situation without penalising our loyal supporters. After much discussion we came up with the Kids Plus package which gives our younger members all the benefits of season membership along with a brand new BLK jersey ahead of the new season so that they can show their true colours on a match day. What really makes the package is that your child will be personally handed their new jersey at a special event ahead of the new season where they will get to meet the full squad.
“At just £40, the cost is equivalent to the normal purchase price of a jersey, but also gives full membership for next season.”
If the Kids Plus package isn’t what you are looking for next season, the normal kids membership allowing access to all regular season scheduled home games is available for just £20 per child - incredibly, a third less than a similar membership cost in 2006.
