Dwyer to captain British Army team

Matthew Dwyer will lead the British Army rugby team into action in the 2014 Inter Services Championship.

The hooker, who holds the rank of Lance Sergeant in 1 Welsh Guards, has been named captain for the forthcoming games against the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.

 

The game against the Navy will see him leading the team out at Twickenham in front of more than 70,000 on Saturday 3rd May, where they will play for the Babcock Trophy.

 

Dwyer has been sidelined since the end of February with a groin problem but is nearing full fitness and a return to action.
