Ospreys to wear white armbands

Ospreys players will wear white armbands when they play Northampton Saints later today as a mark of respect to Phil John and Byron Mugford, who both passed away over the last week.

Both individuals have served rugby in the region with great pride, John as U18 Head Coach since the inception of regional age-grade rugby and Mugford over numerous decades with Swansea RFC, as well as one season as Ospreys Team Manager.

With the Ospreys wearing their regular black strip, instead of the usual black armband, they will wear a white one during the game.

There will then be a one-minute silence at the Liberty Stadium on Friday evening, ahead of the game against Newport Gwent Dragons, allowing all supporters, staff and commercial partners to pay their respects together.
