RAF St Athan will be the base for the Ospreys U18 squad from 19th - 21st July as they embark on a pre-season team building weekend.
The weekend in the Vale of Glamorgan will provide the team will a series of mental and physical tasks aimed at challenging, motivating and educating players, learning about themselves and their team mates.
The Ospreys have worked closely with the RAF, who are supporting the region's Age Grade teams, to provide a weekend that will help the players develop skills such as communication, leadership and problem solving in a different working environment away from rugby.
The weekend will start at 4pm on Friday, so the bus will depart Llandarcy Academy of Sport for 2.30pm. Players will need trainers and training kit for the three days, and leisurewear for the evenings, but will not require full rugby kit. The bus will return to Llandarcy Academy of Sport on Sunday at around 4pm as displayed on the weekend schedule.
Consent forms have been issued, and any player wishing to attend must return these to their coaches asap. Any player without consent will not travel. Food and accommodation will be provided, all that is required is kit for the physical activity and some pocket money for evenings activities which will be based on site.
