Two children can watch the Ospreys completely free in 2013/14 when accompanied by a paying Ospreys season member thanks to the fantastic ‘Kids go free’ membership deal
It’s a fantastic value deal aimed at encouraging families to support the cause together at the Liberty Stadium, week-in, week-out, and when combined with the ‘bring a friend’ deal actually allows mum, dad and two children to attend all 17 homes games for just £185 - That’s 17 games, the whole family, for under £11 per match, or just – where else can you a family day out for that price?
By comparison, a family deal at Odeon Parc Tawe will set a family of four back more than £24 to watch one film, one game at Laserzone in Swansea city centre costs £16 and a family deal at Tenpin in Parc Tawe costs £21.99 for one game, while one session at the indoor waterpark in Swansea’s LC is priced at £22.
Andrew Hore, Chief Operations Officer, said that it was important to attract more and more families to the Liberty Stadium, which is why the pricing structure has been set the way it has:
"We are growing our fan base year on year, with last season seeing us enjoying our best ever average crowds across the season in the PRO12 and we want to keep that upwards curve in 2012/13 and beyond.
"It’s essential that we make watching the Ospreys affordable to everybody, so that young supporters can get into the habit of enjoying live rugby, a habit that will stick with them for life.
"For a family of four to be able to watch top level professional rugby on their doorstep, for less than £11 per match is incredible, especially when you compare that price to the costs of other family days out.
"£10.88 a game to support the cause is fantastic value and is a great price to watch players like Ryan Jones, Alun Wyn Jones, Adam Jones, Justin Tipuric, Dan Biggar, Ashley Beck and Eli Walker going head to head with some of the best players in the world.
"Next season we’ve got the French champions and the English runners-up coming to the Liberty, along with our usual PRO12 opposition and it’s going to be a really exciting season. Hopefully, we’ll have more families than ever joining us."
