Ospreys pair meet sponsors

Ospreys players Ashley Beck and Nikki Walker attended a special open day with sponsors Hyundai Heavy Industries in Chippenham last week.

The duo represented the region at an event hosted by Molson Group, who represent Hyundai Heavy Industries in the Southern part of the UK, which was to promote the different services offered by the company to the construction industry, giving existing and potential customers a chance to try out Hyundai’s products.

More than 300 people in the industry attended from all over the country, while Hyundai Heavy Industries European sales manager, Peter Neujens and UK sales manager Rick Still were also present, and took the opportunity to get to know Beck and Walker, who like many of the guests in attendance took the opportunity to sit in the drivers seat of one of Hyundai’s machines.

This season is the first that Hyundai Heavy Industries have been an official sponsor of the Ospreys, their company logo featuring on the team’s matchday playing shorts.

Hyundai Heavy Industries comprise of construction equipment, mainly tracked excavators from 1.5t – 80t, and Molson are the largest Hyundai Heavy Equipment dealer in Europe.

Nikki Walker said that both him and Beck had enjoyed getting to know their sponsor better:

“It’s important that we take the time to get to know more about sponsors, the business and the people involved, as they are a vital part of the Ospreys family. For us to attend the open day and spend time with staff and visitors was good, as it meant that we could find out more about Hyundai Heavy Industries and what they do.”
