Join members of the Ospreys Supporters Club (OSC) on Sunday 1st July 2012, at 11am when the annual 'Mair's Walk' will take place from the YMCA, Angel Street, Bridgend to Ogmore Farm via Merthyr Mawr and the Stepping Stones.
With well over £100,000 having been raised in support of the Lung Cancer Unit at Velindre Hospital over the last 5 years, the walk this year will be led by TV broadcaster & commentator Huw Llewellyn Davies.
Last season the OSC presented a cheque for £800 to Stepping Stones, the proceeds of a raffle held in the Riverside in conjunction with Alun Wyn Jones who had co-written a book to raise funds for the charity. They are a great charity and this is always an enjoyable way to get out and support the great work they do.
Whatever the weather there will be live music and children's entertainment. At the end of the walk there is a full day of activities at Ogmore Castle where there is a Marquee, Choirs, Live Music, DJ, Hog Roast, Bars, Teas and Coffees, Bouncy Castle, Rugby Mouth almighty, Triple Crown and 6 Nations trophies and much more. It's a fun day out for everyone, and all for a very worthwhile cause - the Lung Cancer Unit at Velindre Hospital.
Entry is £5.00 for Adults with Children U16 free. Every walker will need to complete an entry form. Registration on the day starts at 9.30am at the YMCA.
