Take advantage of Ospreys Schools Ticketing

Schools across Ospreylia have been reminded of the fantastic ticketing deals and rewards available to them via the popular Ospreys Schools Ticketing Initiative - with great group booking incentives also available to all supporters.

Thousands of children from across the region have enjoyed their first taste of live first class rugby through the Ospreys Schools Ticketing Initiative, earning free sports equipment for their school at the same time, and with a number of big games coming up at the Liberty Stadium, Ospreys bosses have issued a reminder of the benefits of getting involved in the scheme.

Under the terms of the initiative, which has operated successfully for a number of seasons, any school in the region can book tickets for any home Ospreys match for parties of 20 or more (with a ratio of one adult to every four children), and pay just £10 for their adult tickets, £1 for the children.

Last season saw the introduction of an added incentive for schools to participate, the Ospreys teaming up with Gilbert to make an attractive deal even better.

The partnership with Gilbert means that the Ospreys are able to offer a 50p credit for every single ticket purchased by a school that can be used towards the purchase of brand new rugby, hockey, cricket and netball equipment, ensuring that every pupil can benefit directly from their school’s relationship with the Ospreys.

There are no hidden catches with the Schools Ticketing Initiative, it’s as straightforward as it sounds; buy fantastic value tickets to watch the Ospreys and the school earns credit for sports goods that can be redeemed from a special Ospreys/Gilbert catalogue.

All schools receivea calendar featuring the squad photo and important dates and deadlines for schools in terms of fixtures and bookings as well as a pack of player posters for them to put up around the school. Each one features a different player encouraging the kids to come along and watch them at the Liberty Stadium.

Andrew Hore, Chief Operations Officer at the Ospreys said:

“The initiative is a simple, straightforward one that has always offered superb value for money to schools in Ospreylia in order to encourage youngsters in the region to come along to the Liberty Stadium and experience live rugby for themselves.

“If we want the community to support us, it’s vital that we also support the community. With budgets in schools getting tighter year on year, thanks to the partnership with Gilbert, we can offer schools a way to get brand new sporting equipment simply by encouraging their pupils to watch the Ospreys and promoting this initiative, enabling more young people to enjoy watching and participating in sport at a time when there are growing concerns about child inactivity and obesity in Wales, so this deal works on various levels.”

Orders are to be placed, paid for and collected at the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office.
