Match tickets now on sale

Tickets for all of the Ospreys home games up to and including the Scarlets on Boxing Day, with the exception of the LV= Cup tie against Leicester Tigers at Bridgend, are now on sale.

Almost half of the available seats in the Liberty Stadium are already accounted for ahead of the Heineken Cup clash against Munster on December 18th, while the Boxing Day derby clash against the Scarlets has sold out by the end of November on the last two occasions, meaning fans shouldn’t hang about if they want to be sure of being present at what promises to be two great afternoon’s of rugby.

Other games that supporters can now get their hands on tickets for include the visit of London Irish (15th October), a game which is also generating considerable interest, and the Welsh derby against Newport Gwent Dragons at the end of October.

Tickets for the opening home Magners League fixture against Benetton Treviso (10th September) and the first ever visit to the Liberty Stadium of Aironi two weeks later, are also now available, as are the Magners League matches against Leinster (28th November) and Edinburgh (4th December).

Ospreys Managing Director, Roger Blyth, said:

“We’ve already had confirmation from Munster that they wish to take their full allocation of almost 4,000 tickets for the Heineken Cup match, which means that when you add in our season-ticket holders, Business Club and Premier Club members, then just short of 10,000 tickets are already taken with more than three months to go until the game, and I have no doubt that Munster fans will be looking to secure as many tickets as possible, in as many ways as they can, so I can see that game selling out very early.

“Likewise, history shows that tickets for the Scarlets game at Christmas sell very quickly, with all tickets gone on the last two occasions by the end of November. Everyone likes to spend some time at the rugby with friends and families over the holiday period, and the Scarlets have already confirmed that they will be taking an allocation, so the advice would be the same again, buy now to make sure you don’t miss out.

“Other games are also generating interest, with two hospitality lounges already sold out for the London Irish game for example, which bodes well for the new season. We kick-off with two games against Italian sides at the Liberty Stadium, and we’d love to see big crowds there to get the season off to a positive start as there is nothing better for the boys to see when they run out than packed stands, full of Ospreys fans cheering them on.”

Tickets for all these matches are now available to buy in person at the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office, online at this link, or via the Ticket Hotline on 08700 400 004, with demand set to be high for a number of these games so fans are advised to buy early to avoid disappointment.

Ticketing arrangements for the game against Leicester, at the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field, are still being putting together and full details will be confirmed as soon as possible.
