Season ticket renewal deadline approaches

Ospreys bosses have issued a reminder to season-ticket holders that the deadline for securing their existing seat for the forthcoming campaign is now just days away.

All seats currently allocated to existing season-ticket holders are being held until close of business (6pm) on Wednesday 30th June, after which all seats remaining unsold will be released for general sale to all supporters.

There's been a fantastic response to the value for money season-ticket packages that were unveiled last month, with like-for-like sales to date against the same period last summer showing a significant rise of almost twenty per cent.

The rise has delighted management at the region, who say that the response to the wide ranging initiatives and offers will provide a real boost to the playing squad when they start returning for pre-season training in July.

Managing Director, Roger Blyth, said:

"We are just reminding supporters that next week all seats will go on general sale so if they want to sit in the same seat that they have been previously, the only way that they can guarantee it is by renewing their season-ticket no later than Wednesday.

"We have put together a range of season-ticket initiatives for next season that offer tremendous value wherever you want to sit in the stadium, and whatever your age. Watching the Ospreys next season can cost an adult less than £10 per match, and after the success of the offer last season we are once again running the ‘Introduce a Friend’ Initiative, which, incredibly, offers existing season-ticket holders the chance to watch us next season completely free of charge. In addition, all juniors (16 and under) can claim a free season-ticket in the Family Stand if accompanied by a paying adult - you can't get better value than that!

"To have sold so many season-tickets already is extremely encouraging and we are expecting the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office to be quite busy over the next few days as the deadline for the renewal of existing seats approaches. Demand should continue to remain high next month also, with the Early Bird prices still on offer until the middle of July for all purchasers.

"When the players report back for pre season training in July they will be encouraged to see the rise in season-ticket sales. Having won a historic third Celtic League title at the end of last month, there will be a real buzz in the camp when they return and the news that the excitement is shared by our supporters will give an added spring to their step ahead of the new campaign."

Adult season-tickets start at just £165, with OAP's and students paying just £125, when purchased before the Early Bird deadline of July 18th.

With the introduction of Benetton Treviso and Aironi to the Magners League for next season, the package offers better value for money than ever. Season-tickets cover 11 Magners League fixtures in the regular season (not play-offs), Heineken Cup and LV= Cup pool stages and a pre-season friendly.

Blyth added:

"The underlying philosophy at the Ospreys is to develop home-grown talent that will allow us to ensure long-term, sustainable success at the region, as well as continuing to provide the Welsh national team with quality players and coaches. We have made a commitment this summer to reinvest a significant amount of season-ticket revenue into elite player and coach development, which reaffirms our commitment, so all season-ticket holders can take great pride that they are directly helping to develop the next generation of Ospreys.

"The cheapest adult  season-ticket works out at under £10 a game which means that they still offer considerable savings even if you buy one knowing that you will be likely to miss a few games, so I would urge fans to consider buying one and being the ultimate supporters."
