The Young Ospreys under 16 and 18 squads will open their season with fixtures against Lancashire, The Army and the combined Academies of London Irish, Saracens and Wasps, when they go on tour to London this week.
The tour has been arranged in conjunction with the Army and their "Look at Life in the Army" programme. Both squads will be housed at RAF Uxbridge where they will train and then travel on for their fixtures. On Tuesday 22nd the under 16's will play Lancashire under 17's and the under 18 's will play the Army under 19 squad; both fixtures kick off at 6pm at the Army's home ground in Aldershot. On Wednesday the squads will be shown the ropes of Army life with an organised visit to the Wellington Barracks in Central London. The tour will be concluded on Friday 25th at Sunbury on Thames (London Irish old ground) when the under 16's kick off at 1pm and the under 18's at 3pm in the first fixture of its kind between Welsh Regional teams and English Premiership Clubs.
